Boxing Club and Bandits


Two long term users of the centre are the Bridport Boxing Club and Bandits.

 Bridport ABC.

Is a friendly group of boxing enthusiasts of all ages that play at Bridport ABC in Bridport. They have a full calendar of throughout the season and an active social diary with events for club supporters throughout the year.

Bridport Bandits – also known as Bridport Autograss Racing Club is a Youth Motorsport project based in West Dorset. The club has been in existance for some 15 years and is located in the workshop attached to the Bridport Youth Centre.

The club aims to support young people to participate in Motorsport according to the NASA (National Autograss Sports Association) rules and regulations.

The club will prepare race vehicles for use of club members and endeavour to support young people in the preparation and development of their race vehicles.

Primarily the club races in the Junior Autograss Class with 1000cc classic minis and competes in the Southern League. Club members are totally involved in preparation of race vehicles both in the workshop and at the racetrack.

The club meets between 7pm & 9pm on Mondays & Thursdays at the workshop next to the Bridport Youth Centre in Gundry Lane and is open to all young people from the age of 12. The cost is £2.00 per evening – first visit free. Their home track is that of the Wessex Motor Racing Club at Bearley Nr. Tintinhull, Yeovil BA22 8PE – come and watch them in action on a Sunday for an exciting day out!
